Minneapolis, March 3, 2016– This past weekend, RZRs would line up at the San Felipe 250, which kicks off the SCORE International Racing Series, and WORCS Round 3. RZRs would come away victorious in both series.
The San Felipe 250 would see 13 UTVs line up to try to capture the first win of the season. Polaris Factory Racer Marc Burnett would pilot the No. 2905 RZR XP Turbo EPS to the win in the Pro UTV Forced Induction class. Mike Cafro, also in a RZR XP Turbo EPS, would finish third. Polaris Factory Racer Brandon Schueler in his Jagged X No. 2931 RZR XP Turbo EPS finished fourth.
The Pro UTV class would see Polaris RZRs take the top two spots with David Nance and Thomas Graves going one, two in the class. Jorge Navarro, the sole entry in the Sportsman UTV class, also raced a Polaris RZR.
WORCS Round 3 in Las Vegas, NV would see Polaris Factory Racer RJ Anderson capture his first win of the season in the SxS Pro class with his No. 37 RZR XP 1000 EPS. RZRs would capture the top thirteen spots in the race with Polaris Factory Racer Beau Baron taking third. Anderson would do triple duty at the race also racing his RZR XP Turbo EPS to a fourth place in the SxS Pro Unlimited Class, and a first place in the SxS 900 SS class racing his brother Ronnie’s Polaris ACE 900 SP. The SxS Pro Unlimited class would see RZR XP Turbos take the top seven spots with Polaris Factory Racer Ryan Piplic finishing second, Baron third and Anderson fourth.
Also last weekend, Jeremy Merrell finished third in the Unlimited UTV Class in his RZR XP Turbo at the Lucas Oil Off-Road Regionals-Southern California series.
The next SCORE International race is the Baja 500, June 1-5; and the next WORCS race is in Lake Havasu, Ariz., March 18-20.The next Lucas Oil Off-Road Regionals-Southern California race is April 1-2, in Lake Elsinore, Calif.
